Hello and welcome!

We are your hosts, Gaëlle & Eric – we live here with our two dogs, Eleu and Jackson, and our cat Ziggy. We may see you out in the backyard or around the pool but don’t worry, we will keep the fur babies inside unless we are with them :)

We are available through the Airbnb app for any questions you might have, but here is some information about the room and the area around we hope can be useful to you!

As we are just beginning this bedroom rental adventure, please do let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable.

  • To connect to our wifi, look for the network “ChezNous”.
    Then enter the password: hellopool

  • Located just to the right of the front door, you will find two remotes. The larger one next to the door, labeled ‘Fujitsu’, controls the heat and air-conditioning. Make sure the mode is on Heat or Cool depending on what you need, and simply push 🔼 or 🔽 to increase or decrease the temperature setting. **Please note: allow 15 minutes for changes to take effect.

    To change the mode, slide the main cover of the remote down and press the Mode button until your mode shows on the display. Slide the cover back up when you are done.

  • Located just to the right of the front door, you will find two remotes. The smaller one to the right controls the ceiling light and fan. Simply push the central button to turn the light on/off, or the Hi-Lo-Med speed buttons for the fan. The light comes in 3 different shades from bright to soft light, press the center button twice to toggle through them!

  • The remote control to the TV is placed on the bedside nightstand table. Once you turn it on, you will land on the home page – use the arrow buttons to scroll through the streaming apps. Included with your booking, you have access to Hulu (with Live TV) + Disney + ESPN pre-loaded for your enjoyment! To use any of the other streaming apps, simply click on their icon, log in to your own account and start watching.   • Check-out is at 10am. There is nothing special for you to do at check-out, just relax and have a safe return home!

    If you happen to be leaving much earlier than your check-out time, we’d love a quick message so we know it’s ok for us to go in and start cleaning. Thanks so much!

  • During the pool season (May-Sept), you are welcome to enjoy the pool anytime during your stay! If you would like reserve it for a dedicated, private time for yourself or for an event (up to 30 guests), please send us a message! (Please note, private pool hours are 10am-9pm.)

Are there good restaurants nearby?

There are lots of different types of ‘restaurants near me’ you can of course Google, but here are some of our personal favorites!

  • Phở Peoria. Just 1 mile north on Peoria, this is one of our favorite restaurants. Of course their pho is delicious, but we also never miss getting an order of their spring rolls. Their peanut sauce is out of this world!

  • Sushi-Rama (and Osaka Ramen). Just east on Colfax about 1 mile, this is a fun sushi restaurant with a conveyor belt theme that continuously rotate dishes. Just pick one up and eat! There is also a menu for traditional ordering (sushi and ramen).

  • Cedar Creek Pub. Just on the other (North) side of the hospital complex, this is a good pub to eat standard American fare and talk to the locals.

  • Denver Beer Company. Located about 4 miles east in Lowry, this is a fun local brewery with basic American fare. They have a large outdoor patio and sits on a very nice community park.

  • Mango House. Just under 2 miles west on Colfax, this is a delicious and eclectic gathering of ethnic dining options. Grab to go or enjoy in any of the available seating areas, we highly recommend checking this one out if you like international foods!

Where is the closest shopping center?

There are two shopping centers just down Peoria Street at 6th Avenue on either side of Peoria, they offer just about anything you might need in a pinch! On the west side, you have Aurora Plaza where you can find a King Soopers grocery store, a Chuze gym, Burger King, Key Bank, GenX clothing store, T-Mobile, liquor store, and a nail salon among other several local storefronts. On the east side, you have Hoffman Heights Shopping Center where you can find a post office, two dollar stores, a donut shop, Mexican and Pho restaurants, laundromat, a furniture store and several other local storefronts.
